Tips

Taxi
Finding a taxi in this city can be difficult, especially at peak time of around 5pm-7pm. Getting one can also be competitive as they are very popular means of transport and can be in short supply. There are particular problems outside Binwang market coach station and Yiwu train station where it can get very congested and hectic. Also, watch out for higher fares from these destinations.

Taxi Sharing
Avoid taxi sharing if you can.
If you accept a taxi with a customer already in it, take note of the metre reading at that point and remember it for use when negotiating your final fair.

Pedestrians
Don鈥檛 assume that the pavement is just for those walking. Watch out for speeding cyclists, motorbikes, mopeds and cars parking. Cars cutting in can make the pavement a hazardous place if you are not alert.

Crossing the road
When crossing at a green light, watch out for cars coming from your left turning right because somtimes it is legitimate for them to do so.

City Connections provides an excellent tool in which to connect with others who have an interest in Yiwu and make friends from around the world.
